Why am I running to be your Representative in the U.S. Congress?  America needs a return to honesty, integrity and leadership.  I will fight to restore the principles that made our Country great.

• Because I refuse to take for granted my citizenship in the greatest country on earth.
• Because I believe that "We the People of the United States…" is the most important special-interest group of all.
• Because Freedom is our most precious asset…best preserved by our Constitution, and best maintained through clean politics and respectful, thoughtful differences of opinions.
• Because of the record low approval ratings of Congress "We the People" need new leaders with a clear vision of the post-911 era, not more career politicians.  Reforms are needed in our government and in our way of life.  My aim is to restore our past prosperity, individual freedoms, equal opportunities and global leadership.
• Because I am a fiscal conservative who believes the out-of-control borrowing, spending and taxing must be stopped.

Tennesseans should settle for no less than a proven servant leader as their representative. I am such a man – devoted to my state, my country and the betterment of its people.  I am a strong leader whose leadership skills have been tested in the crucible of military combat and throughout my life. 

I am forthright and will tell you exactly where I stand on the issues. I will not tolerate bickering and selfish power struggles in Congress, but will encourage both parties to work together to legislate solutions to the problems our nation faces without compromising my principles and values.  Arm-twisting or unethical tactics will not sway me.

I am truly dedicated to keeping America safe, supporting our troops and working tirelessly for victory.  With more than four decades of decorated military service to my credit, I have a deep understanding of what it means to sacrifice for our security and our freedom.  My leadership and steadfast support for our troops honors the important work of our brave men and women in uniform.

I am a proven servant leader. I am not a man pursuing his own personal advancement but, rather, a patriot bent on preserving the welfare of the country I love.  I am a man of compassion, hope, and wisdom.  I am a protector of freedom, justice, and peace.  I am for Tennessee.
